This guy is one of those Zoids you have to put together to love. According to the box, his "head moves up and down", he has "flapping wings", "jaw chomping action", and a "moving battle tail." Well sure, he does all that...but here's the amazing thing. Take the Berserk Fury for instance. In order to get his head to move, his legs to walk, and his tail to sway, he has how many "applications" (if you will, the parts of the motor that causes movement) on his motor? Three, if I remember correctly. One set for the legs, another for the head, and the third for the tail. (correct me if I'm wrong). The Pteramander has ONE. Everything runs off that one set that directly controls the legs. That's what makes this Zoid so awesome. I don't want to know how long it took the guys at Tomy to design this thing. Also, his wings don't just "flap." They open on the upstroke, and close on the downstroke. Very cool. The only bad part is that he's an EXTREMELY slow walker. He is also very unstable when standing still. But, I do find this Zoid a definite must-have. Especially if you're like me and favor building them over just about anything else.
